Simple Rechargeable LED Light | Weekend Project

Hello friends, welcome to the another tutorial of How to Electro. In this tutorial, we will know, how to make a simple Rechargeable LED Light. we will cover it in 3 steps. First is to gather the things needed, Second is the studying the circuit diagram and constructing and the final step is to test it. So friends, without further waste of time let's begin..

THINGS NEEDED

Circuit Parts :-

  1. LED Bulb (Used) - for casing the project - 1 piece.
  2. 230VAC-5VDC Converter (I used a cell phone charger) - 1 piece.
  3. 1N4007 Diode - 1 piece.
  4. 4V Battery (Size and Capacity depends on your own need) - 1 piece.
  5. Switch - 1 piece.
  6. LED Strip - 1 piece.
  7. Some Wire.

Tools :-

  1. Soldering Iron.
  2. Soldering Wire.
  3. Soldering Flux.
  4. Hot Glue Gun.

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

Above is the Circuit Diagram of this project. If you want to download it, click on the image to download it.

Now let's understand the circuit's working. The circuit consists of two section namely Charging Section and the Main Section. First, we will know about the charging section. In charging Section, there are only 3 components, one is 230VAC-5VDC Converter, a 1N4007 Diode and a battery. When we insert the bulb into the holder, the current starts flowing through the converter circuit and there is 5VDC Output from the circuit, which is fed to the battery via 1N4007 Diode, and this helps in the charging of battery. Here, 1N4007 Diode is used to prevent the flow back of the current and also drop the Voltage i.e. It doesn't allow current to flow from battery to converter circuit, only from converter circuit to battery and It also drops the voltage by 1V as a result of power dissipation and hence, a proper supply of 4.2-4.5V is given to the battery. Now, let's know about the Main Section.

In Main Section, there are 3 components namely battery, a switch and a led strip. The Battery acts as a power supply in this circuit. It supply power to LED Strip when switch is on, hence turn on the LED and stops the power supply when switch is off. Hence, turns off the LED. So friends, that's all for the working of this circuit. Below is the video of the construction of the circuit, you can see it for clear reference.

TESTING

So friends, we had our Rechargeable LED light ready. Now it's time to test it. If everything is fine in Testing, we had successfully done it. Otherwise, I request you to once again check the circuit. So that you can solve it. So friends, that's all for today friends, Hope you like this tutorial. If you have any problem/Question, then ask me in comment box.
Thanks - How to Electro.
