How to make a Simple Auto-Cut Rechargeable Emergency Light
Hello friends, Welcome to the first Electronics tutorial of this Website. In this tutorial you will know about a cool weekend project which is a Simple Emergency Rechargeable light. The special property of this project is that it has an inbuilt auto-cut system that controls the working of this project. The system works as when this light is charging then the led light automatically gets turn off and when the charging stops, the light gets turn on automatically. So, friends let's begin to make this project.
Step1 - Things Needed.
> 4 v Battery - 1 piece.
> 5v SPDT relay - 1 piece. ( Banggood.com / Amazon.in / Gearbest.com )
> 4v led Plate - 1 piece.
> Switch - 1 piece.
> Charging port - 1 piece.
> 1N4007 Diode - 1 piece.
> Red LED - 1 piece.
> 100 ohm Resistor - 1 piece.
> Some Wires.
> Double Sided Tape.
> Plastic Box (Used for Casing the Project).

Step 2 - Tools Needed.
> Soldering Iron.
> Soldering Wire.
> Soldering Flux.
> Wire Cutter.

Step 3 - Study the Circuit Diagram.

Working of the Circuit
The Working of this Circuit is very simple. It works in two stage one is main control panel and other is the charging system for the battery. Now let's get to know about these two Stages one by one.
> Charging Stage - This stage Works as when the Charging port is plugged into the Socket the charging circuit of the light start getting 5v as Input power. The first component of Charging Circuit, which is 1N4007 Diode receives the 5v input. The work of this diode is to drop the 1v but the main work of this diode here is to prevent the flowback of current from battery to the Charger to prevent any Short-Circuit. The output from the diode is Connected to the positive of battery and the negative of charging port is directly connected to negative of battery which supply the 4v to the battery and the battery gets charged. The led is used here only for the Indication of charging and this is all the working of this stage.
> Main Control System - The working of this stage is very simple because it only consists of a battery, Switch, relay and a Led Panel. you can easily understand this stage's working principle.
(Working principle when charger is not plugged in)
This stage works as when, the switch is on the positive charges flow into the led plate and the negative wire is already Connected to the led panel. So, the led panel glows and when the switch is off. The circuit breaks and the led panel gets off.
(Working principle when Charger is plugged in)
When the Charger is Plugged in the the relay gets on which breaks the circuit still when the switch is on by removing the Connection between the wires and the led light gets off and when the charger is plugged out the circuit completes as the switch is already on and the Led glows.
